Primobolan + Anavar on a test base is the “aesthetics without the baggage” stack. No aromatization from primo or anavar, no progestagenic activity, no dramatic lipid wreckage, no sleep destruction. What you get: steady lean tissue accrual with simultaneous fat loss at maintenance calories.
The catch: pharma-grade primo is expensive. UGL primo is notoriously often under-dosed or outright fake. If your primo cycle “did nothing,” that’s usually the supplier, not the compound.

Why primo dose is high
Methenolone’s anabolic rating is 88 on paper — weaker than testosterone. In practice it needs 500-700mg/week to produce visible results because tissue-level androgen receptor activity is mild. This is NOT a compound to run at 200mg/week; that’s a waste.
Elite bodybuilders historically ran primo at 800-1000mg/week. At 500mg you’re hitting the effective lower bound for visible recomp. Anything below 400mg/week is marginal.
Test dose kept moderate
Primo doesn’t aromatize but also doesn’t cover libido or mood the way testosterone does. 300mg/week test maintains those functions without adding unnecessary E2 load. Some users run 200mg/week when primo dose is 600+ to keep bloat minimal — fine approach, adjust to response.
Anavar added week 8
Primo alone is visual but subtle over 14 weeks. Adding 40mg Anavar in the back half gives a noticeable strength bump and dries out the physique. Keep the oral window to 7 weeks max; any longer and liver enzymes start trending badly even with TUDCA.
Diet framework
Maintenance calories or very slight deficit (100-200 kcal). Protein 2.2 g/kg. Primo works best with consistent calories — it’s not a compound that rescues a bad diet. Carbs can stay moderate (35-40% of calories).

Typical recomp outcome over 14 weeks: 3-5kg lean mass gain + 2-4kg fat loss at maintenance calories. Numbers on the scale may barely move while photos show a completely different physique.

Primo is the most commonly faked compound on the UGL market.
