Key Benefits
- N-acetylcysteine — glutathione precursor, broad antioxidant support
- Liver and kidney protection on AAS cycles
- Also used for respiratory health and neurological support
- 1200 mg/day standard cycle support
- Inexpensive — standard OTC supplement in many regions
- Each unit dosed at 3000 IU — see Recommended Dosage below for protocol-specific intake
How It Works
Precursor to glutathione, the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant. Enhances liver and kidney tolerance of xenobiotics including 17α-alkylated orals. Also mucolytic (thins respiratory secretions).
Pharmacokinetics
Oral bioavailability ~10% but elevates plasma cysteine sufficiently for liver/kidney glutathione synthesis. Daily split dosing recommended.
Potential Side Effects
Well-tolerated. Mild GI effects at very high doses. Distinctive sulphur smell in some formulations.
Cycle & Stacking Guide
Pair with TUDCA on any oral cycle. Useful on long injectable runs as well. Cheap insurance.
